Executive Board 2010

Bruce Bastian - President, retired AT&T, NCR computer systems engineer, club member 6yrs, board member 1yr, "Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, grew up in Chicago, Il and Gary, In, attended North Central College & Indiana U, married with 4 children". Goal: Continue to produce transparency, fellowship, integrity and increase the membership. Continue to serve the members and sustain the family-like atmosphere we have by giving back to a great membership.

Lou Sclafani - Vice President, active local realtor, club member 30 yrs, board member 20 yrs, president 2 - 2yr terms, vice president and 2nd vice president. "The Italian American Club was started in my home in 1979. Dues were 2. at that time, I was the founder and 1st president. It has been a pleasure to serve and be part of this organization." Goal: to see the club grow and prosper.

 

Richard Cattelona - 2nd Vice President, retired teacher/coach, insurance & pension sales, club member 9yrs, board member 6yrs, 1st & 2nd vice president, corresponding secretary, "married 51yrs, 4 children and two great careers." Goal: to be involved and to help make the club the best club in Florida.

Marino Roncari - Recording Secretary, retired picture framer, club member 5yrs, board member 1yr. " For 8yrs I was a member of the Lion's, serving on their board, and an event coordinator for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind." Goal: to serve the board with the best of my ability.

Gene Orientale - Treasurer

Al Angelastri - Corresponding Secretary, retired air traffic controller, club member 20yrs, board member 1 1/2yrs, second vice president, "Originally from NYC, 4 years in the air force, retired 1990 from FAA". Goal: Impress upon the members of the club that everyone should share the workload, if able, and strive to foster camaraderie.

Carl Sellitti - Past President, Sarasota County supervisor of inspections, club member 30yrs, board member 30 yrs, president 6 - 2yr terms, has served as an officer in each category, "With 30yrs as a member, I have an intimate knowledge of the club and it's inner workings." Goal: to improve the club.
